What about Audism??
This is a roundtable discussion co-led by and co-facilitated by Deaf community of color members to talk about the intersectional impact of audism has on Deaf communities of color. The key question is audism an act of sociocultural violence or oppression? This is the opportunity to change the dominant narrative(s) and co-create solutions to rise above or to dismantle audism.
General community members are welcome to attend this roundtable discussion event. Deaf Black Indigenous People of Color (DBIPOC*)(*community inclusive of people of color who are DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, Hard of Hearing, and Late Deafened) are greatly encouraged to come to co-facilitate this event.
